A Typical Day at Beneavin
We have a staff handover at 8.00am with the Home Manager and all the Team to ensure we are all aware of how our Residents day is going to be.
Its breakfast time then for all and the staff serve breakfast and newspapers to all Residents in their rooms. Each Resident is then assisted with personal care to ensure they look and feel fresh for the day ahead.
There is a wide and varied activity programme available to all Residents and we are very pleased to say that almost all of our Residents enjoy and partake in theses activities.
There is morning tea and coffee at 11.00 and soup is also a choice.
Lunchtime in Beneavin Lodge is a very sociable occasion where all the Residents get together enjoy their meal. Its not unusual for a sing song to commence and there’s great banter and comradery in the dining room.
Afternoons can be filled with one of many activities, a quiet time in your room or relax and watch tv or enjoy a visit from family or friends.
When the weather is good we have a beautiful courtyard where Residents can sit and enjoy the sun and the singalongs and other activities would be done outside accompanied by lots of cool drinks and ice-cream. Residents also tend to the flowers and planted they had planted in the Spring. It’s a lovely atmosphere!
Teatime is once again in the dining room or some Residents like to take their tea in their room. Once again the music goes on the room is filled with lively chatter and conversation.
Evening time is usually when most Residents have their visitors or settle in for an evening of the favourite tv programmes and enjoy a tea round with light snacks before bed!
And so to sleep zzzzzzzzzzzz
