| Welcome to Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home, located in the beautiful and tranquil seaside location of Blainroe, 3 km south of Wicklow Town. Opened in February 2005, Blainroe Lodge has been providing Long Term, Convalescent, Respite and Dementia/Alzheimer care to persons from the Wicklow, South Dublin and North Wexford areas. |

| The first floor of the home is dedicated to special care dementia cases and has excellent facilities including a snoezelen®.and two day rooms. This section of the home has been adapted specifically with dementia/Alzheimer's patients in mind and has a big foyer/walking area with lots of stimulating material. We also have a dedicated reminiscence room. Blainroe won an award of excellence in implementing sonas in 2010 which is very beneficial for dementia patients. All our staff have received specific training in dementia/Alzheimer care and management at the home are continually updated their skills in this area. Our goal is to try to create a centre of excellence in dementia/Alzheimer care. |

| With the recent addition of the Seafield Suite, Blainroe Lodge offers long term care to 69 residents in a homely, warm and secure environment. Comfort, charm and elegance are combined with the most up to date nursing practices and equipment to make it a home from home for all residents. At Firstcare we offer Long Term, Convalescent and Respite care for all dependency levels, and Dementia/Alzheimer care. |
